SCHOOL CLOSINGS OR DELAY POLICIES

In the event of inclement weather, announcements regarding our school closings and early dismissals will be made over WJAR channel 10 under the category R.I. Catholic Schools as “St. Thomas Regional School”. If you do not see the name of the school specifically then we will be in session as usual.

BUSING TO ST. THOMAS DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER

Busing schedules follow the decisions of the town or city that provides busings for St. Thomas students.

If North Providence Schools are delayed, all buses from North Providence will be delayed. If North Providence is delayed but not Johnston, Johnston buses will operate on their normal schedule. St. Thomas School staff are always on site to supervise those students who may arrive early. If your child will be late due to the town’s busing schedule, it is the decision of the parent to drive your child to school. (Regardless of the parent’s decision, the student’s attendance record will not be affected)

If the town in which you reside closes its schools, parents are responsible for the transportation of their child to St. Thomas.

Please monitor local news stations and websites during inclement weather days to ensure that your child has a place to go if an early dismissal is carried out by the school.
